Today’s Knitting News

A trip to the yarn store at lunch today yielded more items than were on the list. The 3 balls of Trendsetter eyelash yarn and Cancun/Rialto by Stacy Charles, the Spring 04 issue of Interweave Knits and a yarn to match the new red bucket were approved items.

What followed me home? Not on the list: two cards to frame, one with a black sheep and the other in natural, with real fleece that becomes a knitted piece on adorable tiny wood needles. And purchased from the sales basket Rowan Chunky Tweed, only $7 a skein, in a soft brown and autumn orange. They cried out for a felting project.

The magazine just came in today; I picked up the only unpacked issue that staff had perused. It will be tough writing this afternoon instead of reading. No Rowan mag in shop or in my mailbox. The Rowan 4 ply Botany was also on sale for a fantastic price and I have a project from Rowan #30 I am dying to make but alas my colors were not available.
